Fortunately, unlike icebergs, these submerged sea triangles pose no significant risk to ships. Orcas, on the other hand, are the largest threat to boats known to man.
This is true, but coastlines are officially neutral (if not cruelly indifferent) to boats and the seas on which they sail, whereas orcas are the sworn enemies of boats everywhere.
There are stories that some coastlines have developed lures, similar to anglerfish, that draw prey in to their doom. These luminescent organs are usually called "lighthouses".
A shark is kinda like society I guess. Constantly drowning while only less than 10% is at the surface, only sometimes, and as long as it keeps moving forward.
So does the triangle above water, that is the source of the forbidding "duuuuh duh" music? I watched a documentary about a triangle off the east coast and it was very clear that the music always happened when the triangle was present.
Aghagble! When I read this one on the site, I noted the mouseover text. Nodded, moved on to my next webcomic to read.
...Then the joke from the mouseover text finally hit me and I started chortling uncontrollably.
