Not exactly
According to Lucas, the third draft of Star Wars essentially outlined the whole trilogy but had to be split into 3 movies due to time and budget
Why do you think one of the contract negotation was Lucas getting sequel rights?
Actually double checking he did probably make it up. Everyone he was working with at the time would not corroborate and actively refuted Lucas's claims; and he at times admitted that he only had notes, only to say in a public letter to the LOST showrunners that he had no idea what he was doing
I can accept that there was a version of the entire story in his head very early on, sure, why not. But are you asking why Lucas wanted further guaranteed employment?
It wouldn't have been employment as far as I'm aware ; just an agreement that if he wanted to make a sequel HE had those rights not the studio and he could take them elsewhere if he wished.
Which, if no one wants to make Star Wars 2 he's just fucked
These drafts are all published. Other than some random syllables that are used for people, planets, or things in different drafts, there's nothing similar to what actually made it to screen except in the broadest of strokes, at the level of "a fight happens".

Intentional storytelling, like how Leia kisses Luke but says in the next movie she's "always known" Luke was her brother, because audiences shipped Leia and Han? That kind of intentional storytelling?
oh god i am bordering on breaking my NDA but you know the rise of skywalker that everyone hates? they built five soundstages with massive sets. and creatures. with puppeteers
In my headcanon, at least, the “I’ve always known” line was more referring to a general familial feeling towards Luke, not literally knowing he’s her genetic twin
Yeah, that’s just kind of how I work it out in my mind.
Though, also, I’m not a Disney era hater or anything, but I do find it kind of annoying how ROS felt like such a lurching reaction to TLJ. Making it up as you go along is fine if you’re good at hiding it, but those two aren’t at all.
Yeah, I assume she didn’t literally know it. Also, I’d still rank it below the Anakin school slaughter and Padme’s death in terms of bad Lucas decisions.
I mean if we’re talking prequel problems the virgin birth always bothered me the most. It’s just so stupid. All the freakout over the Acolyte making Anakin “less special” or whatever over what was an idiotic plot point in the first place
I think they do it so animated recreations of dead actors looks less jarring.
There is a beautification filter on every face which masks acting & makes them all look plastic.
They like to make actors younger so they bop the face tune animation on everyone so the de-aged actor doesn’t stand out.
The only time I've noticed anything like that is when they're forced to de-age and/or revive an actor.
However, I definitely wouldn't put it past them to pop a filter on everyone.
The Kurosawa / Reifensthal collage based on the heroes journey with an ace John Williams soundtrack and objectively awful dialogue? ( I say this as a fan btw)
I don't think 7-9 are cinematic masterpieces by any means, but they are better than 1-3. If you can watch 1-3 today and think they're still good you have military grade nostalgia.
We can still have fun with bad movies, though.
