He would never! (Trump never pays people working for him)
Avatar
This is honestly the best argument for this being fake (it’s not fake)
Avatar
Actually I think bribery is probably the *only* way to get him to pay someone for their services
Avatar
Because he needs the money for bribing, apparently
Avatar
I hate how unsurprising this is
Avatar
This is the only acceptable cynical take.
Avatar
Can he, seriously, go to jail? Ever? Cause I keep hearing that we’re a “nation of laws” and then, as he breaks all of them, there’s always a reason to NOT lock him sorry ass up.
Avatar
They're being paid with shares in Trump Media. Seems like that might have the opposite effect.
Avatar
Sounds very Trump like.
Avatar
Yeah but it’s just locker room bribing.
Avatar
The trial had testimony that he was bribing polling companies too
Avatar
Wonder what he’s paying Aileen Cannon?
Avatar
The promise of a Supreme Court appointment.
Avatar
Zero surprise, max disgust. Man I wish our slow-moving system would treat him with even 1/100 the seriousness and speed he deserves.

My favorite part of this article is where his campaign manager says she hired her nepo baby daughter and in the next paragraph her nepo baby daughter says her mother had nothing to do with her getting the job
Avatar
Bet that exact situation is in nepo baby’s nda.
Avatar
Oh yeah, that's the good shit
Avatar
I'm sure they're quaking at the prospect of Trump losing another defamation lawsuit.
Avatar
I hate hate hate that I read this and was just like "oh of course he is"
Avatar
IANAL, but I reckon "barring him from voluntarily cooperating with law enforcement" does suggest that claimining there is no connection between a "$2 million severance package" and the (now former) employee's status as a witness may prove a hard sell.
Avatar
How many defamation safe ways can you say “we all know he’s corrupt as hell and is absolutely doing this”…
Avatar
its so funny that the gop talking point is that trump is being unfairly targeted when this dude literally cannot exist-in-this-world without committing crimes that everyday americans would already be in jail for.
Avatar
Avatar
(probably also both)
Avatar
I long for the day we no longer have to read about this man in headlines.
Avatar
Unless it's in the obituaries. I could read that every day.
Avatar
Avatar
It's the mafia, isn't it. But he's shit at it.
Avatar
Avatar
Wouldn’t want to look too political!
Avatar
Just like the mob boss he is.
Avatar
I'm sure this will be all over the Nightly News programs tonight. * Just Kidding -- they'll lead with Hunter's trial.
Avatar
Like everything Trump does, this is yet another corrupt pattern across multiple entities, using intermediaries executing on his behalf. Paired with (his) witness intimidation, it’s astounding in magnitude and shows his utter contempt for the law.
Avatar
Russian Mobsters get 💩done🤷‍♀️especially when judges are corrupt and laws are manipulated. What to do🤷‍♀️
Avatar
Vote like our lives depend on it cause they do.
Avatar
I’m shocked, shocked, I say …!
Avatar
If we keep prosecuting political figures like this, pretty soon criminals will be unable to get criminal representation in government. Can we even call that Democracy? 🤣 "Yes we can."

Avatar
Such a good article, I’m glad you boosted it.
Avatar
I bet any that possible trial will be placed after the election.
Avatar
Avatar
"Bribing witnesses" is such an ugly term. Can we go with "encouraging selective memory" in the name of civility?

Steven Chueng and Trump can both fuck off ASAP. No one will miss them.
Avatar
There’s just no end to Trump’s corruption, is there? Gawd help us ALL if this demented bastard weasels his way back into power.
Avatar
Also, hate to say it, but: I was thinking Trump’s incentives now line up to full lawlessly, at least with anything election or court-related. 34 or 68 or 136 counts is same to him.
