Someone once likened using "ML" to solve linear regression problems to using a sword to slice bread. It looks cool, but it's a thoroughly overengineered and awkward tool for the job.
That's how I want to use it. Take over data entry, validations, QA testing, and code reviews so we can have people working on the more important things that require more complex decision making and critical thinking skills.
A world with fewer technical defects would be nice...
My last dealing with AI was in the early 90s, writing RFP responses for the Post Office covering what our Research people could do for them with handwriting-recognition, while hoping I was correctly understanding what Research was doing with that custom processor design :-)
