StickerNinja is sold out of stickers for the day just hours after the news broke in our co-op discord, to give y'all an idea of the mobilization that's been possible among cartoonists lately. And that's just for getting cheaper stickers! There's a lot more we can do with collective power!
THE CARTOONIST COOPERATIVE'S growing list of benefits has a brand new addition (AND MORE TO COME...)! Members can now receive an exclusive 10% off discount for custom sticker orders from STICKER NINJA, the artist owned sticker company: by artists, for artists. cartoonist.coop/our-benefits/

An intern didn’t write that political email blast or social media post with a typo. That’s a job. They probably A/B tested it.
okay it's time for a prompt post: respond to this post with a correction to a common misconception about something you know a lot about. if you feel like it, boost your response. (please use a kindly tone about it, otherwise i, your prompt curator, will get anxious.)

Wheelchair users are not exclusively paralyzed. There isn’t reliable data for it, but many, many of us are ambulatory (can walk sometimes, either for short periods or on good days). When you accuse someone of faking because you saw a leg move, you’re not taking into account a variety of conditions.

I definitely feel like cultural amnesia is accelerating and collective memory is breaking down. I think capitalism has learned to force what used to be organic cultural cycles of forgetting into faster and faster timeframes so it can sell us the same shit again sooner.

Do you know that DC residents are like, fuck all y'all, whenever we hear calls to contact congresspeople to make change? Literally. We don't have congresspeople who can vote.

IDK who the first person to express this sentiment was, but: "When people talk about traveling to the past, they worry about radically changing the present by doing something small, but barely anyone in the present really thinks that they can radically change the future by doing something small."
What are people doing w/neighbors & friends to create & nurture networks of collective care & mutual aid? What small but significant (or super size me and spectacular, and everything in between) actions & practices are people talking about, preparing for, or taking?

Because the Law Enforcement Baronial Class knows that MAGA will make law enforcement a jobs program for angry men. Good job Democrats funding the police machine so they are ready to take over.
Just some cops, in uniform, fanboying with the guy who blew his fortune trying to overturn an election with conspiracy theories so nutty, even the Trump legal team rejected them. slate.com/news-and-pol...

a lot of people with disabilities also post amazon wishlists for essentials because SSDI puts severe limitations on income and cash gifts. i won't be shopping on amazon for myself but there are situations i'll absolutely use it.
It's almost "Prime Day". If you look on your favorite shelter's website or instagram you might find that they have an amazon wishlist and that many of their items might be on sale. I hate amazon, I definitely encourage people to shop local whenever possible, but I'm just putting the info out there.

KEEPING TIME is a webcomic about two guys who, years after an unspeakable tragedy, reunite, start a band, and, against everyone's better judgement, fall in love. Told in two timelines that alternate between past and present, it's only gonna get gayer from here!! 🎸 keepingtimecomic.com #WebcomicDay

We don’t get someone like Elon Musk without his family profiting from apartheid. Worth remembering.
“The world’s richest man Elon Musk will commit $45m per month to a new Super Pac intended to support Donald Trump’s campaign, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing people familiar with the matter.”

woahhhhh i wonder what the NYT published that very same week that might illustrate my point that his perfectly good work is being used by the editors/management as cover for how they harm trans people
How does this apply to his parallel analysis of Frederick Douglass's take on racism? Do you think Bouie and Douglass consider Black people a group not worthy of having dignity on its own? www.nytimes.com/2023/02/10/o...
