I hope NBC doesn’t fuck up MSNBC. But we need to be clear-eyed about this: both are owned by Comcast, and I fear MSNBC now lives on borrowed time, with full Kent Brockmanization in its not-so-distant future.
Even if Trump doesn’t vaporize the case when he retakes office, when the case reaches the Supremes, Aileen Cannon, J, (replacing Justice Kagan after she falls out of a window) will refuse to recuse, & Trump will prevail 6-3 (Roberts dissenting but unwilling to acknowledge his role in causing it).
I would happy vote for her. But I don’t think we can even imagine the vitriolic misogynoir that would be unleashed, or the extent to which radical Trumpist courts would throw sand in the gears.
Judge Aileen "Loose" Cannon has thrown out the case against Trump for taking classified documents. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec... She has apparently decided that after the last Supreme Court term the rule of law is officially dead. I fear she isn't wrong
One of many problems here is that Axios is not just relying on credulity, it is manufacturing it. The press insists to us that it only observes the world, but in fact it helps manifest the world it wishes to see.
