God Bless Paul Davies and the @PhillyInquirer: "The only person who should withdraw from the race is Trump...There was only one person at the debate who does not deserve to be running for president. The sooner Trump exits the stage, the better off the country will be."
To serve his country, Donald Trump should leave the race | Editorial Boardwww.inquirer.com Biden had a horrible night Thursday. But the debate about the debate is misplaced. The only person who should withdraw from the race is Trump.

Last night was a shitshow, but I'd still vote for the one who struggles to finish a sentence but has done more for climate than anyone in recent memory over the convicted felon who cannot utter a truthful sentence. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s not enough, but one candidate passed the largest piece of legislation to address climate change in US history. The other repeatedly refused to acknowledge the Earth has a climate.

The Democratic candidate in this election has made historic investments in the fight against the climate crisis. The Republican candidate believes the climate crisis is a hoax.

One challenge with limiting university positioning to “core functions of the university” is figuring out where boundaries are. Surely some would argue that speaking out against the destruction of all higher ed institutions in a region is within those functions. www.nytimes.com/2024/05/28/o...

I think the takeaway here is that “recession” (and, probably, “economic growth”) means something different to average citizens than to economists, and it would be worth understanding what it is that average citizens mean when they use the term www.theguardian.com/us-news/arti...

“Rampant” antisemitism at Rutgers? In a word, no. A clear, direct op-ed — by a Jewish faculty member at #Rutgers — about recent activism on campus against the war in Gaza and why we must protect free speech, even if you dislike that speech. www.nj.com/opinion/2024...

It is appalling that Rabbi Levy can’t figure out why displaced Gazans, whose universities have all been destroyed, might be more in need of US scholarships than displaced Israelis, who have world-class universities that cost about as much to attend as it would cost to attend Rutgers on scholarship.

We marched tonight across Israel calling to end the war, stop the killing of innocents in Gaza, and bring back the hostages. We are the peace movement inside Israeli society. We speak in Hebrew and Arabic, and led by Jews and Palestinians. How to recognize us? Look for purple 🟣 Standing Together

Anti-Zionism is not inherently antisemitic (though it certainly can be combined with antisemitism), and being fanatically “pro-Israel” is no guarantee against being an antisemite.
At UCLA, the group that attacked student anti-genocide protesters included people previously photographed making Nazi salutes and participating in transphobic protests. www.theguardian.com/us-news/arti...
