I often think back to the 40-odd years when I enjoyed reading, watching, and listening to the news. Lazy Sunday mornings with the NYT, flipping on NPR every morning. I was often annoyed, sometimes angered, but it wasn't a fucking nightmare. Now it is: both the news itself and the hacks purveying it.

Got the audiobook out of the library and was a bit startled to hear Kevin R. Free from Murderbot narrating the MMC, so far it's a very good book!

Finally reading Murderbot and his sole desire to just be left alone to watch TV is the most I have ever related to a protagonist in my entire life.
