First book launch I ever did was Bluestockings. The first day I went on hormones, I saw a trans woman writer do a book launch there and met a volunteer there that thirteen years later is still a friend and colleague. BStox is so good, doing such good work, and this sucks. Please help if you can.

This is BS. I was part of the collective when Bluestockings opened (it was sold after i left NYC & idk if it’s still collectively run). It was ALWAYS a community minded open space to everyone (except facists) 😤🤬

Bluestockings is a great bookstore I shopped at when I lived in NYC. Their staff are literally saving lives with Narcan, which neighbors complain about so landlord has sent a notice to evict them. Why not buy a book or gift card from them if you need a last-minute gift?
