I do captioning for a living, & a big part of my job is cleaning up false starts & filler words. That has always been the norm at every media outlet. Print media edits Trump so carefully that you would never know what he actually sounds like. Doing this to Biden is a 180 from decades of policy.

Now everyone--The Times and, sorry to say, MSNBC--is noting every missed syllable. The man has a stutter. I don't stutter but I am a mushmouth who speaks too fast and slurs words. I've had to overcome fear of public speaking. I have empathy for Biden. The press has empathy for no one (but Trump).

I have no idea the best path re Biden but I do know a solid week straight of “Biden Old” and “Rich Dems Worried” above-the-fold stories are *obscene* in the face of SCOTUS using the Constitution to wipe their asses purely in the service of reinstating a felon rapist as president. I listened to NPR for like five minutes today. They had on Sarah Isgur to talk about what a tough spot Roberts was in because Biden was prosecuting his opponent for a crime for which he wasn’t impeached.

Look “Reagan is senile” was a running joke on SNL and look how that turned out for President Mondale. And I’m pretty sure Reagan didn’t even try to have SNL quit making fun of him like a certain thin orange skinned man did

I firmly believe it is ALWAYS worth flooding the zone with reminders of how Trump is a convicted felon pedophile rapist who pees on people. That is how the GOP plays the game. We should too.
