Will wait for a single news outlet to call on Robinson to withdraw from the race.

Dems at all levels should be mentioning this in every single interview.
Project 2025 was from the Chris Rufo school of fascist communications, where you discuss your evil schemes out loud, confident the "normies" are not paying enough attention to notice. But now it seems less politically engaged people are taking notice. www.salon.com/2024/07/05/p...

i saw some folks worried that, legally, biden couldn’t be replaced on ballots - especially in crucial states like wisconsin - in time. the heritage foundation put out a memo trying to promote this fear for example. dave weigel reports here that it’s basically BS. www.semafor.com/article/07/0...

Very important point. Even if Biden can turn things around, one more episode like in the debate, from now until Nov. 4, and it’s over. Done. Lost. Of course, a replacement could make a huge gaffe as well. But you have to weigh the risks.
Even if they 'prove' that he is fit, he can't have one more bad day and, well, he's going to have more bad days because that's just how getting old works. When you pile on stress the chances are you get more and more bad days.

We've been pressed into using GPT and imitaters more at work, and as a senior writer asked to review a lot of this work, I 100% resent being asked to edit its garbage output. It's not only generic, it's chockful of filler words and plagued by superfluous use of adverbs and prepositional phrases.

Wow, real banana republic stuff. I'm glad our presidents can launder money and associate criminally without worrying about this kind of thing.
Reports: Brazil police have indicted Jair Bolsonaro for money laundering and criminal association

Watching the British election returns I feel compelled to point out that the 650 person House of Commons represents 67 million people and the 435 person House of Representatives in the United States represents 333 million. Replace the Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929. We deserve representation.

So it sounds like Sunak’s plans for mandatory national service and deporting migrants to Rwanda didn’t excite the electorate

This. My dad wrote a very sharp essay, published posthumously (and not widely enough, IMHO) on the false claim at the heart of the intellectually imperialist term "Judeo-Christian." Keep my name out o' your mouths, Christianists.
Just a reminder that "Judeo-christian" values are just way to blame Jews for Christian nationalism, and just because they steal the Torah doesn't make us belief buddies. Judeo-christian values are just Christian values in fancy dress.

There's a Quiet New Deal going on...
Banning medical debt from credit reports. Cracking down on junk fees. Banning non-competes. Capping credit card fees. Negotiating drug prices. Expanding OT pay. These Biden policies don't make headlines, but this is what it looks like when government works for the people.

Do this or risk losing everything. Everything. 👇👇👇👇
For the next 4 months we need writers, filmmakers, and all creatives to show Americans the stakes, and the rest of us need to blanket the internet with their work. Many have already been doing this their whole lives. But this is Pearl Harbor-9/11 combined, and this time the attack is from within.

I want to see endorsements of Biden-Harris from all-these anti-Trump Republicans and horrified former Trump admin officials. Kinzinger was good but not nearly enough. You’re either for fascism or you’re not.

Man, if it turns out that the right winger telling NY Times readers that they should follow his example and not vote did in fact vote in the last two elections, the Times should add this to the piece. Better than a retraction, since it illustrates a willful hypocrisy.
He voted in both 2020 and 2022.
