I'll just say after some people genuinely losing their mind over this and insisting this was already happening, Biden recorded a video for Threads talking about Project 2025 and VP is giving a speech focusing on it today in Las Vegas. Which is great! Candidates driving the mssage = good.

"maybe the candidate himself should mention it?" No. The candidate cannot do your job for you. It's the journalists' job to dig into things and find the facts, not try and stampede one of the parties while ignoring the blatant crimes of the other.

The candidate's job is to campaign. The journalist's job is to cover campaigns.

We are watching the press and donor class staging a coup here. Claiming Biden is unfit 24/7 then pointing at polls to justify their claims but never saying the coverage might be affecting the polls.

It's impossible for him to change the narrative. He's not going back to 2020 Joe ever again. That's a fantasy. He cannot win. The best we can hope for is for Trump to lose.

Talk about it more. Sure. But, when Donald Trump or his campaign even vaguely allude to accusations thrown at democrats it’s covered everywhere even when it isn’t lobbed by Trump himself. Even when, or especially when, he can’t even complete the thought. He gets the botd and message is out.
