Tonight's movie. This is kind of a fourth of July movie. An argument can be made, at least.

On my way to and back from my coffeehouse this afternoon, I passed soooo many folks grilling on the sidewalk. It was like all of Bushwick was one great barbecue. I had half a mind to try and claim I was someone's long lost cousin to try and get me a plate of ribs.

I'm beginning to see @cornellwriter.bsky.social as my biggest fan. Seriously, I think at this point she's said more nice things about my stories than I have. Which, considering how good her work is, means a lot.

The Good: A review of my @analogsf.bsky.social story said it was definitely going on his shortlist for the @thehugoawards.bsky.social next year. The Bad: He called it a novella. While it is categorized in the TOC as a novella, it's a novel. He also spelled my name wrong. #speclit

Tonight's movie. I remember watching this at the Loews Theater in Harvard Square. Of the three dozen or so people in the theater about a half dozen people walked out halfway through. I still have no idea what they thought they had bought a ticket for.
