Me, I’ve been dropping relevant Project 2025 rundowns in any story I can (there’s a lot). My analysis, reading across sections of the “Mandate” document, of Project 2025’s vision of straight white patriarchal power was pub’d in February: newrepublic.com/article/1788...
There are many things that infuriate me about the pundit class right now, but probably one of the top on my list: Project 2025 has posted their plans for every single federal department on their website. They have a training academy for prospective appointees. Where are the hard hitting op-eds?
Conservatives Plan to Ban Abortion and Cut LGBT Rights Starting Next Januarynewrepublic.com Project 2025’s 180-Day Playbook is a remarkably detailed guide to turning the United States into a fascist’s paradise.

She’s literally the best person I know—it’s likely that she’s the best person many people know. She’s brilliant and creative—smarter than I can ever hope to be. She’s that perfect balance of being incredibly kind and nice. I want to be a better person so I can hope to deserve her.
I like this idea, please tell me your favorite things about your partner 💕

I have grown semi-frustrated by cis critics writing about I Saw the TV Glow in a way that either sidelines or ignores the film's transness, even in pieces I otherwise loved. So I wrote about it! On the film's ending, nostalgic poison, and egg cinema! www.vulture.com/article/the-...
I Saw the TV Glow’s Ending Is Full of Hopewww.vulture.com There’s a way to read the end of Jane Schoenbrun’s masterful new movie as grim, even nihilistic. But you must actively choose to see it that way.

Two male Texas professors are suing to flunk students who get abortions. Their reason? The students had "consensual sexual intercourse." Which the professors appear to believe is their right to punish. www.salon.com/2024/06/03/t...
Texas professors want to use abortion ban to punish students for "consensual sexual intercourse"www.salon.com It's part of a larger pattern of men using the new law to control and abuse women in their lives

We had an illusion of prosperity that was broken by the pandemic and now all of the decades of neoliberalism are piling up consequences at once. The small turn in the right direction is like trying to hold back a flood with cardboard. And there’s no hope on the horizon.
A lot of people are going to chalk this up to media narrative or sheer ignorance, but as a broke person, I’d like to point out that much of our “prosperity” has been based on consumer debt. Combined with massive income inequality and inflation, it can reveal precarity that people had suppressed.

We keep ignoring the plight of children who exist in favor of children who are hypotheticals, in abortion policy, in conversations around trans kids, in ongoing violence that disproportionately affects children. Why? And how can we stop? episodes.ghost.io/hypothetical...
