Of all the celebrities, Neil Gaiman is I think the first time I've been truly blindsided by an accusation. Just goes to show that you shouldn't put anyone on a pedestal, and power is an allure that is very difficult to ignore. Given what he wrote though, it really seems a bit on the nose.

Took a couple rerolls but I think this class is pretty fitting. I would also have accepted witch or something equally magic-y though

in addition to how awful airbnbs are for local rental markets they haven't even been that great for travelers for years. most of the time i'd rather just stay in a hotel if it's going to be nearly as expensive anyway

A total ban is the only sane policy for Airbnb. There obviously needs to be accommodation in cities for visitors, but that shouldn’t be at the expense of housing units for people who actually live there. More governments should follow Barcelona’s lead.

Had an awful day at work today. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do but it never feels good.

So, what does your gender feel like to you? For me, it's kinda ephemeral. Round and warm, stolen kisses in the night and hot drinks around the fire. There's still sharp edges there, too, but like a cat's claw, only there when you need it and away when it's not. Idk it's weird but I'm curious.

concept: loving someone and having parts of you be irrevocably changed by that experience but it's not a scary change because you get to point at those parts like hey look that's where a person i love touched me and also your loved one has parts of themself that were changed by you in the same way

Saw a physiotherapist yesterday for something that chiro acupuncture and massage have been difficult at helping with. She spent ~1hr poking and prodding me, did some acupuncture and put a piece of athletic tape across my SI joints. Said it doesn't do much but might help. It's actually helping!

Shit like this happened within living memory and already some white cis gay men are willing to throw the rest of us under the bus for the sake of "respectability". Pride was a riot sustained by solidarity. Remember your roots.
