You have a point. There is definitely an issue of people Stateside being unable to understand why art costs money.

When I tell people that my weaving generally goes at a speed of three to six inches an hour I find they sometimes back away slowly. Which is why I've never tried to make money with it.

I spent twenty years selling the hand made items that other folks hired me to sell. Most of them have raised their prices over the years, but nowhere near enough to cover how much more expensive everything is. Trouble is, the customer's don't have that much more money either. Most of them.

If this is all just politics then Three Mile Island was just politics. If this is all just politics then slavery was just politics. If this is all just politics then book burning is just politics. If this is all just politics then The Blacklist was just politics.

People are at risk of losing their freedom, their livelihoods and quite possibly their lives because of politics. These folks want to dismantle the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act. They want to determine what you can publish and where you can publish it, and ultimately who can read it.

If this is all just politics, you live in a unique circumstance of either privilege or ignorance. #Project2025
