something i've been thinking about a lot is this bit from rebecca traister about republican women and how it applies to thomas. i think it captures something very real about him that feels relevant to this but i cannot quite articulate why, need to chew on it a bit.
we’ve talked about this before but i think litman is close to something sharp but not quite getting it. the problem isn’t that voters don’t believe the sky is falling; it’s that they don’t believe Dem leadership believes it, because Dems don’t act like they believe it.
should probably report this guy, especially the top post. he is angry at ryan because ryan politely pointed out that violently overthrowing the government is illegal
@internethippo.bsky.social once had a tweet that was like “people will talk to you like they’re your boss on here” and I’ve been thinking about it ever since I saw this reply (from someone who doesn’t even follow me!)
great piece. this passage stands out because the problem it describes is incredibly serious and not at all addressed by dick durbin’s favored response asking for a binding code of ethics. if you don’t have a policy answer to this governance problem, you’re not a serious political party
i genuinely think the smart political move is for biden to hold a rally tomorrow where he taunts trump and says america will not have a felon for president.
