Also, and this is just personal, I’m never forgiving anyone who equivocated about our choices in 2016. Not a single one. I will hate you in life and haunt you in death.
I remember seeing SCOTUS described as “emotional blackmail” in 2016. I hope that person has never stopped having awful days where small things never go right
I try not to punch left. When someone cites her, idk sometimes a red film covers my eyes and I wake up in a riverbank dressed in tattered purple shorts
this is a beautifully specific curse, i am impressed
it makes me feel bad to wish actual harm on people but a correctly calibrated wish for just the right amount of banal discomfort is very satisfying
The sad part is that I generally liked him in the years leading up to 2016. He’d grown up in the Memphis area, served as a Dem volunteer in 2008 and even served as a Public Defender for a bit after law school. He just went full “Jacobin Mag” after moving to the West Coast.
Saw that, or "don't threaten me with SCOTUS" or re Roe "lol bitch it'll never happen". absolutely no foresight. Naive, nasty assed misogynistic dumbasses who were too dumb to anticipate what was 100% likely to happen. And then they blamed hillary when it did.
Right up there with the Nader voters saying there was no difference between W and the guy who made An Inconvenient Truth and knew to keep an eye on al Qaeda.
(caveat: I did vote and volunteer for Nader, from a state Gore won by five points; had it been even close to close I'd have done differently)
It’s difficult to say be mad at Nader voters now that Democrats have embraced W both literally and figuratively. Anyway the last two Democratic nominees voted to authorize the Iraq invasion, I don’t think we can pin that on Nader
Except under a Gore Presidency Iraq wouldn't have happened. And idk who you're talking about embracing him aside from that Michelle Obama pic. Those of us who lived through the W years sure af haven't.
Yeah a Gore presidency would have been a lot better. But are you saying that Michelle Obama didn’t live through the W years? The people in charge of the Democratic Party act as if, prior to Trump, the Republicans were swell. Biden still loves all of them except Trump. He should talk to somebody
Same, but on the other end. I was in Alabama, so I knew my vote didn't mean shit. 2000 being my first election made me a bit cynical about the whole process.
I’m a little peeved at the guy who appointed Comey. If there’s a good reason for Democrats to put Republicans in charge of the FBI they are keeping it to themselves
I will always be mad that liberals/the left/Democrats refused to make the Supreme Court a big enough issue in 2016. (It was the Rs #1 or close to #1 issue. It was perhaps the Ds issue #6)
this is why you cannot win on issues that conservatives have already reduced in their heads to a toddler's version of a moral vs. immoral argument.
you need to get MONEY to PEOPLE.
Said dipshittery being wild because the OTHER side sure was going "You gotta vote for Trump to stop Killary from taking over SCOTUS." They certainly understood the stakes!
