Starting to think calling this a "conspiracy theory" is a fundamental error. It creates the impression that MAGA personalities are in the grip of some sort of massive delusion, as opposed to consciously manufacturing a pretext to jail Dems as part of a deliberately, knowingly constructed plot.
MAGA needs to sustain the Big Lie of a justice system rigged against Trump as a pretext for him to launch prosecutions of Biden/Dems under the guise of "payback."
That's why nothing is more lethal to MAGA than the justice system functioning fairly. 5/

Jailing or murdering their political opponents (or just people whose existence makes them mad) has been something that the American Right have been talking about my entire 37 years on this planet.
37 years ago would be right about when Republicans were openly discussing rounding up all American gay men and putting them in concentration camps "because of the AIDS".

Unfortunately the USA’s justice system doesn’t operate fairly. It has elected judges in its lower courts who need public approval to keep their jobs, and overtly partisan political appointees on its top court. Crazy system.
Truth does not matter. These are the same folks saying that people want abortion up to the moment of birth. No one that can have a healthy baby is gonna abort at the last second for funsies.

Conspiracy theories need to be created by someone. As Quassim Cassam argues in his book on the subject, CTs are propaganda. They are created by someone with a purpose of spreading that propaganda whether they believe in it or not.
