It's actually raining. But it's also windy and stupid hot and it's a red flag warning for fires started by lightning. So, we can't even just enjoy the rain.

On the plus side, it did knock, like, twenty degrees off the temperature here in an hour or less. Nice cool breeze.

After an episode or two of each new show on Crunchroll I'm giving a shot this season, the winner is Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! That said, surprisingly large number of shows I've tried didn't get dropped after the first episode. (Maybe I'm too picky). Might wind up being a real good season.

All the characters are 3D CG models most (almost all?) of the time. They're just doing a better job of making it look more like traditional animation. It's actually pretty impressive. But things still stick out. Especially with things like hands and sleeves.

I'm torn on The Elusive Samurai. It's almost entirely CG as 2D animation which I can't unsee, and it drives me nuts, but it's also possibly the least obnoxiously CG CG as 2D animation I've seen. It's also quite graphicly violent, including to children, but also wants to be wacky and silly fun times.

Show's like 'What if Avatar: The Last Airbender, but with brutal death and decapitating children?' The tonal shifts in this anime are wild. It's like swapping between R2 doing slapstick in the hangar bay and Anakin spatchcocking Dooku, but... more.

Yeah, also norcal, and ours always started with several single squares. Also it often ended in a dome or half moon shape at the end.

#4 is the one I ways saw growing up in the SF Bay Area. Interesting to see these other ones. New lore.

Ok, one more and then I'll shut up. Thinking about it more, I swear most ones I saw growing up actually started with three singles, then a double, a single, a double and then I don't really know about the end. Maybe 9 was single and 10 was the half moon / dome shape at the end.

Isn't Ranch just Ranch in French? Is it maybe not French enough for the labeling laws, so they had to figure out how to make it even more French? Maybe the English just isn't right and it really is horsing center sauce.
