i can’t stop thinking about the movie whiplash. i rewatched it a few weeks ago after years of viewing it, and i found my changes in reaction to it interesting personally, i still think its an amazing film about human nature and drive. i am even less able to stand watching cruelty at play.

there’s a weird attitude of pushing the responsible people that do not have power over those who act in bad faith/irresponsibly to put them in line and that’s not how life works?

“Just Asking Questions” is hostile. I swear, for me, it’s become a “I don’t think you’re right” and I’ve been hearing it in some form or another all my life. Words come and go with time, but intent lingers across generations.
