Pretty clear that the Federalist Society project to take over the courts for the far right is the most successful and consequential political effort in history. Only took them a few decades. Meanwhile, Dems are like "Let's not be hasty, blue slips serve an important function in preserving comity."

Silver lining if this country does fly apart at the seams: The next Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Iran, Guatemala, Columbia, Argentina, [insert several other countries in central and south America], Afghanistan, or Iraq won't happen by our hand.

Sounds like the DNC's history of lazy arrogance is finally catching up with them in a way they're finding difficult to ignore.

If you are someone who wants to argue Biden has survived before and proved the doubters completely wrong a number of times, fine. I’m just relaying what is happening in the corridors of Democratic power rn, and it’s extremely, no-shit panicky in a significant way.

Wonder if, post-debate and pre-convention, we start getting insider lines on what Biden is like day to day.
