Flips back on calendar: Cape Cod Times not delivered Tuesday, Thursday (not sure if they didn’t print a paper for the holiday), Friday, Saturday (we don’t a printed paper on Saturdays so that’s normal), and today Sunday. I read it online but the reason we get a hard copy is so mom can read it. 1/2

Today in storage adventures: unboxing some Breyer & Hartland model horses packed in plastic peanuts. A Breyer black appaloosa running stallion (1970s) came out ok but a Breyer black appaloosa stock horse mare (1990s) came out with peanuts clinging to her, yellowed, & reeking of vinegar.

I’m still trying to get my head around the idea of the Red Sox as a running club. I don’t dislike it (quite the contrary) but it kind of makes me need to rethink my priors. Then again, my original Red Sox team was the 1980 Sox, which was a very different team.

This this this! It’s the first thing I say when people ask how they can help the library. The second thing is show up, use our services. Come get your copies here instead of at Staples, we’re cheaper and the more you use us, the better are stats. The better our stats, the more our funding rises.

Library funding is almost always justified through patron numbers. The more people a library serves, the more funding it gets. So even if you don't regularly use a public library, get a library card. It costs you nothing and helps everyone in your community.

I'm quite interested in the avant-garde movement of the New Caddisflies actually? They're building beautiful as well as functional architecture from human detritus specifically -- iridescent plastic beads from discarded friendship bracelets, crumbled concrete to stay submerged in fast-flowing water.

When we learned to speak with bugs, we discovered they're very fond of the Arts. Ants write endlessly dense novels of political intrigue, cicadas are pioneers of heavy metal, and dung beetles are obsessed with sculpture. Whose art most fascinates you? #TinyTalesTuesday #WritingPrompt
