Once again, I am suggesting that a few more people watch a good mafia/gang show. Stringer Bell has some useful things to say about being messy out in public when you’re trying to build a coalition against long odds.

Whenever I say something like this, someone explains why their frustrations are valid, so let me say out front: your frustrations are valid. I have MANY valid frustrations that I don't unleash upon people I am attempting to organize. I think about what I want people to do and interact accordingly.

Moving from Austin to SoCal I remember stopping at a rest area near the 10 and watching the most giant raven I’d ever seen pick the remains of a hamburger out of a trashcan, kick aside the pickles, and fly off into the sky with a two foot wingspan. We’re in CA now, friends.

We had a gnarly old bucket. It lived in the basement and was either used for mopping up floods/washing machine leaks or puking. Barfing into a bowl that you prepare food in is behavior that absolutely astounds me.

There's a general problem here, being unable to tell the difference between people publicly processing grief, and people goading you to embrace "why bother, it all sucks" doomerism Often, this isn't anyone's fault. You can't always tell the difference unless you know the poster well, maybe offline
