It's my job to buy books for my local library. One thing I wish more people knew is that we are very open to suggestions for new titles. I buy 90% of books that people suggest. Please, let your library know the kinds of things you want to read. It's helpful!

Please donโ€™t โ€œboth sidesโ€ the โ€œviolent political rhetoricโ€ conversation when one side regularly glorifies and intimidates with guns and the other side speaks out to end gun violence. These are not the same.

Canโ€™t lie I wasnโ€™t immune to the mental damage accrued from having to be glad handed about how political violence should be universally condemned by the class of people that have allowed sleeping rough to become a jailable offense.

Its wild how AOC believing that elections are things you "organize to win" that involve more on running media management campaigns from DC, puts her out afield of so much of the establishment

Listening to Biden rattle off all the incidents of violence against political leaders in recent years sorta suggests that this actually *is* who we are.

I know there is a lot going on, but an unusually high number of CIA agents were killed, captured, or compromised after Trump stole classified documents about them. Just thought I should remind everyone of that.

Robbie Kaplan (a professional friend) used that moment, among others, to convince two juries to find Donald Trump liable for over $90M in damages across two trials. Every day, in every way, we should be making Trump's unfitness for office the central topic of political conversation.

For all his other faults, Cotton Mather was very outspoken advocate for pro-smallpox vaccinations; after a 1721 outbreak in Boston, an anti-vaxxer tried to kill him and another inocculator by throwing a grenade into the window of his home (it failed to explode)
