Meta is suppressing climate content. This is about a film-maker in Kansas trying to publicise his documentary. As @katharinehayhoe.com has noted repeatedly, Zuck squashes authoritative posts (but often leaves nonsense up). Local media has covered the work but Meta should be on blast.

The library board “fired the library director for refusing to move or remove 113 books that they feel are ‘inappropriate.’ The rest of the staff did something heroic in solidarity with their colleague: they walked out, locked up the library, and said No to this unethical board action.”
We all stand against book bans in theory, but 4 librarians in Prattville, Alabama lost their jobs standing against them. Please join me in donating to the GoFundMe that will help them make ends meet in this tough time. Show me a receipt, I'll give you a compliment www.gofundme.com/f/protect-pr...

Some folks collected lots of eels in rent. And some folks not so many. When John de Huntyngton died in 1350, an inquisition showed that he was owed (among other things) 1 & 1/2 sticks of eels annually from land he held in Ealdyng. That's about 37 eels every year for our man 🧪🗃️

Just went online and requested that my local public library add a copy of a friend's new book to their collection. A great way to support writers. And easy! Here's the DCPL portal I used, FYI: www.dclibrary.org/suggest-title

Absolutely correct. Book sales to school libraries have plummeted amidst bans. They are typically huge buyers & promoters of kids’ books! (Both my parents were in the school library biz…) wapo.st/49JGFLf
Students want new books. Thanks to restrictions, librarians can’t buy them.wapo.st Conversations with 37 school librarians across 21 states suggest a thicket of red tape is impairing their ability to buy books.
