This gets to the rot at the very heart of America’s institutions: why are college kids not more willing to have reasoned debate about whether they should be killed?
Last night Chris Rufo’s top assistant expressed a desire for President Trump to “bomb the shit” out of a domestic political group he dislikes while sending “a team of attack dogs” after their leaders.
Their inner monologue: “We say who is Antifa and who isn’t Antifa. Maybe if you don’t shut up, we say you’re Antifa and who us going to correct us, eh?”
"We are out of crackers."
"Crackers! CRACKERS!"
"Sweetie, I just told you that you ate the last of them. We have no more crackers."
*toddler demands to inspect the cabinet, sees there are no boxes of crackers*
"I WANT CRACKERS NOW!"
Oh no, this is my interaction with my toddler about a week ago. The cracker fiend.
(Note, he's nonverbal, so I endure mostly loud noises and hand gestures of irritation.)
I guess Antifa will need to fortify their world headquarters with extra armaments and troops.
Oh wait, they don't have a headquarters or armaments or troops.
There's always the original AntiFa HQ, if Trump wants to bomb something.

That, or a squat in downtown Portland somewhere, using the rest of Portland as human shields for their nefarious pro-democracy activities.
Not me - my (then-future) parents were stateside during Korean war. (Dad was drafted, mom was a translator.)
One of my uncles was in WW II but I don't know where, and my FIL was in CO camp in WA state.
Hmmm like in the sixies when the children, both poors and those in school, objected to being told to go kill and die somewhere far away. "Why don't they do what they are told!"
I believe thier problem is more " why are college kids willing to debate at all " as they should, like a toddler in Sunday school, simply absorb what they are told without question by their betters, regardless of the accuracy, plausibility or reality.
Aimee is a twat considering there is no organization named “antifa”. And why be against those who don’t want fascism?? From my perspective (& this is an opinion of course) those who became violent during peaceful demonstrations were probably younger males using the occasion for self-indulgent anger.
Why do the police have to kill anyone they encounter? There's no de-escalation from the most lethal response. We've desensitized our society to any sense of proportionality in place of lethality.
Well, you're not wrong, but of course there's a real answer too: even today, most college kids aren't psychologically equipped to contemplate *their own* death.
Also, this is what happens when we take words that were already saturated with dangerous possibilities and broaden and broaden and broaden who gets described by them....soon enough, everyone could be a terrorist, controlled as a terrorist, exterminated as a terrorist
