I actually think, given the dozen or so "don't get out of jail free cards" Merchan has in his pocket due to violated gag orders, the 6 weeks of upcoming shit-talking and rabble rousing, and the expected total lack of contrition during sentencing, that Merchan hands down an 18-24-month sentence.
18-24 month conditional house arrest, no outside communication, no press releases of any kind, failure of any sort leading to immediate full incarceration.
I feel like Marchan knows that "no jail time" will be taken as "total exoneration" in this case

Remorse, likelihood of recidivism, and the gag order violations can be considered in sentencing according to MSNBCs legal analyst, and Trump scores zero, high, and thru the roof on those factors.
Considering that he was convicted of election related felonies, and he is currently *running for president*, it seems like his chances of recidivism is pretty high!

Reminder: It was Trump's own DOJ which convicted Cohen over these exact same crimes (and which AMI made a plea deal with the Feds), which Cohen went or prison for several years over.
