Roberts: now you know I revere the rule of law
Thomas: of course
Roberts: no one is above it
Alito: doesn’t matter who
Roberts: it applies to everyone
Kavanaugh:
Roberts: it shows no favor
Gorsuch: nor should it
Roberts: it holds all men as equal
Barrett: yes, all men
Roberts: BUT!
STEPHEN A: Skip I want to ADDRESS this presidential immunity issue.
[BAYLESS nods]
You KNOW that the President is not above the law…
BAYLESS: Absolutely
STEPHEN A: BUT!!
Well thanks to the corrupt 6 on our court Trump got his delays so it’s now up to voters to make sure he faces justice for his numerous felonies. We need to make sure he loses in Nov!
If elected there will be no trials in DC or Florida. If elected even the state court in Georgia will have a hard time proceeding. If defeated and Dems take House & Senate I think he’ll be tried/convicted in DC and Georgia. I also think convicted in Florida if Cannon is removed.
It Trump wins he’ll have the Justice Dept just drop that case and “Loose” Cannon won’t have to rule on anything As a reward Trump will prob promote her to the Supreme Court when crooked judges Alito & Thomas retire to their millions in thank you gifts or as the court recently called them, gratuities
Buddy, you need to readjust your expectations. Trump is never going to answer for anything he's done. But he can be kept from office. That's the best that can happen. That's the peak. But jail? Real consequences? Abandon that. It's not happening.
If he loses I think there’s still hope that he’ll face some type of justice like he has in NYC. All the more reason to beat his sorry a**. Wishful thinking.
The president is obviously positioned ADJACENT to the law. Often across the street. Occasionally down the block. Rarely out of town. But clearly not ABOVE. (They can't FLY, they don't have wings! duh.)
This court says it is OK for the President to do anything he deems necessary to fulfill his duties as President and since the President's oath requires that the President protect the constitution he really is required to take action against those trying to destroy/rewrite it. Any action necessary.
That's actually wrong. It says the President does have full immunity, but private citizens don't. The only question left is when is a President acting as a President vs a Private citizen.
This country is fucked.
