"Nothing someone says before the word 'but' really counts."
Imagining Stephen A. Smith saying that.

You got in before I did!

STEPHEN A: Skip I want to ADDRESS this presidential immunity issue. [BAYLESS nods] You KNOW that the President is not above the law… BAYLESS: Absolutely STEPHEN A: BUT!!

Unless he’s a Republican.

This looks wildly different by default on my device. I saw this first and was pleased. Read more and was very much not.

The shortened preview is perfect.

Keep being surprised. The judges are said to be conservative, but are in fact extremely radical.

Other words: christofascist, authoritarian

Well thanks to the corrupt 6 on our court Trump got his delays so it’s now up to voters to make sure he faces justice for his numerous felonies. We need to make sure he loses in Nov!
Avatar
What makes you think he will answer for his felonies?
Avatar
If elected there will be no trials in DC or Florida. If elected even the state court in Georgia will have a hard time proceeding. If defeated and Dems take House & Senate I think he’ll be tried/convicted in DC and Georgia. I also think convicted in Florida if Cannon is removed.
Avatar
Cannon is just delaying until after the election. When she throws the case her acquittal will be overturned on appeal.
Avatar
It Trump wins he’ll have the Justice Dept just drop that case and “Loose” Cannon won’t have to rule on anything As a reward Trump will prob promote her to the Supreme Court when crooked judges Alito & Thomas retire to their millions in thank you gifts or as the court recently called them, gratuities
Avatar
An appeal will more than likely push the trial past inauguration. I'd tRump is sworn in the trial instantly stops

Buddy, you need to readjust your expectations. Trump is never going to answer for anything he's done. But he can be kept from office. That's the best that can happen. That's the peak. But jail? Real consequences? Abandon that. It's not happening.
Avatar
If he loses I think there’s still hope that he’ll face some type of justice like he has in NYC. All the more reason to beat his sorry a**. Wishful thinking.

At least there's a period and not a comma. Not that any of Adolf Diapers' followers understand punctuation.

That’s a but that would get the attention of Sir Mix-a-Lot

The alt tag placement is unfortunate

The president is obviously positioned ADJACENT to the law. Often across the street. Occasionally down the block. Rarely out of town. But clearly not ABOVE. (They can't FLY, they don't have wings! duh.)
Avatar
Inb4 scotus says it’s illegal to not vote for trump.

WHITE REPUBLICAN President.
Avatar
Sounded like the president/king is above the law. That's the discussion i'm listening to. Immune.

Avatar
As we all soon enough shall see this will turn out not to be true.
Avatar
Per usual, everything before the “but” is bullshit.
This court says it is OK for the President to do anything he deems necessary to fulfill his duties as President and since the President's oath requires that the President protect the constitution he really is required to take action against those trying to destroy/rewrite it. Any action necessary.
Avatar
Except Biden's a wimp who won't defend and protect the Constitution by prosecuting Supreme Court Justices openly attacking it.
Avatar
That's actually wrong. It says the President does have full immunity, but private citizens don't. The only question left is when is a President acting as a President vs a Private citizen. This country is fucked.
Avatar
Now THEY can spend years litigating whether or not the charge against the criminal president was or was not for an OFFICIAL ACTION...
Avatar
The full summary got cut off, here it is in full: The President is not above the law, butt stuff.
Avatar
What this decision presupposes is...
Avatar
Then when does Trump receive execution for his traitorous crimes?

"But also, they like totally are."

…and we get to decide where the ceiling is
