Delighted to interview Stacey D'Erasmo about THE LONG RUN: A Creative Inquiry, for Los Angeles Review of Books! As much as making art, this book centers around queerness, exile, and the relationships that restrain and sustain freedom💕 lareviewofbooks.org/article/over...

Yes, that was me, sliding and pulling myself all the way under my bed to wipe the dust off the baseboards and to pull remaining dust away from the edges of the walls, how’s your day.

An ice smuggler, oh my!! Does this relate to THE FREEZER DOOR?!🧊🍧🌺

also true
Political violence always benefits authoritarians because liberals will always condemn it and authoritarians, regardless of whether they are perpetrators or victims, will always use it to claim more power.

at the time of the shot trump was bragging about his plan to deport 20 million people

Reminder: corporate media handed Trump the election the first time, is that what they're doing again now? With the help of the Democratic Party, of course!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that every wedding isn't a lie. This couple actually looks kind of glamorous.
Avatar
One of the wedding photographers asks if the bride and groom posing in buoyant beige next to the duck pond can get a little closer. The bride laughs, and says, "We're not very affectionate."
Avatar
We all know a white wedding is a lie, but is a beige wedding for people who are not very affectionate?
Avatar
Also, this not very affectionate couple has three wedding photographers to document their inaffection. All dressed in black, for the occasion.

flood protection is just one of a huge range of benefits that could be had from building this infrastructure everywhere and more people should know about these
Montreal's sponge parks, designed in a way to deviate as much rain water as possible away from the sewers, have saved a bunch of areas from flooding due to Beryl's rainfall. So you get really nice parks in a major city, with a bonus against flooding. They're making more of them now and I love it
Montreal sponge parks soak up the stormmontreal.ctvnews.ca After over 100 millimetres of rain pummelled Montreal Wednesday evening, some Montreal streets saw less flooding, and sponge parks played a big part in soaking up the precipitation.

Today, July 8th, is the 24th anniversary of the infamous "Paddleboro" raid, in which Attleboro, Mass. police broke up a BDSM play party of consenting adults, and charged one attendee with "assault with a dangerous weapon" for paddling the other with a wooden spoon.

The water fountain in Cal Anderson Park is turned off on a 95° day?! Whoever runs this park is pure evil.

Honey, what?!💥 Thrilled to see THE FREEZER DOOR on Sarah Schulman's list of choices for the Best Books of the 21st Century in the New York Times, in stunning company alongside so many other writers I adore, including Claudia Rankine, Steven Thrasher, Adania Shibli, Hugh Ryan and more, thank you! 💕💋

Watching a crow drink water out of the shiny metal dog bowl someone left at the end of their driveway, yes, this is kind of fun.

Now I know how I really feel about the US election because I can't stop sobbing at the news that the left won the election in France. We are so so far from this in the US and yet, if those on the so-called left would just abandon the Democratic party we would be so much closer.
Avatar
Instead we just have abandonment after abandonment. Every four years, more abandonment, as the downward spiral continues and now we are so far down at the bottom that it's hard to imagine anything else except more abandonment, more complicity, more violence, more brutality.
Avatar
The candidate of genocide or the candidate that says finish the job already, obviously this is not a choice. And this is where the Democratic party always takes us. What would it take to let go.

Just saw a headline that calls Helen Frankenthaler "the Georgia O'Keeffe of abstract art," and I... have no idea what this means.
