We love it. It makes us verklemt.
They don’t have a word in English for Schadenfreude so they had to borrow it from the German dictionary.
English: a language that lurks in dark alleys, beats up other languages, and rifles through their pockets for spare vocabulary. (Sometimes the Urban Dictionary gets it absolutely right!)

That's standard Arch/Eng office block lettering from pre-CAD days, my friend. It was used for blueprints, bc many ppl in the office contributed to making a set of documents for a job.
I can still do it... it's muscle memory.
Taking a year of mechanical drawing in 81 killed my cursive forever.
