LLMs are useless for lawyering and other tasks involving actual analysis and understanding not because the technology hasn't gotten there yet, but because that's fundamentally not what statistical word association is capable of doing. Not only can't it understand, it's not even trying to understand.

The proceeds from Mark Twain’s first lecture - arguably the origin of standup comedy - were seized by the SFPD to settle “bail debt” from when they had arrested him for reporting on police violence. The show sold out. He knew they would come. He went on anyway. “The Trouble Begins at 8”

In the eventual movie I'd like an Ippei bank impersonating montage set to Hound Dog since Elvis is known for impersonators. Just going from bank to bank, meeting to meeting.
Text messages, voice recordings of Ippei impersonating Ohtani at the bank, IP address tracking, witness statements, tax returns, all of it.

Google explaining the “glue pizza” search result by stating EXPLICITLY that the wrong answer was given BECAUSE nobody had ever asked that question in the training data tells you that what we have isn’t artificial intelligence. It’s a server that copies, changes slightly, and pastes. Not intelligence
