I'm going to offer up what probably will seem an almost Pollyanna perspective but here goes. There's a level at which I think they've tipped their hand too early. We still have an election ahead. Assuming people wake up to the threat we still can snuff this out.

Dark thought: we will win the election but the fascists, enabled by the corrupted judiciary, will take power anyway.

IMO they will very likely attempt this. The larger the election win, the harder this will be for them to pull off.

I'm struggling not to use the "W word" but this, ahem, fight to save democracy won't be over on November 6. I'm just thinking that November 5 will be the day we are able to hit back against them the hardest. But that's just going to be one step in the direction of stopping them.

There is little to be done at this point. For so many Democrats to be speaking out against Biden after active propping him up before & through the primaries is a mass political suicide the Republic has never seen. It’s hard to fight to win when party leaders are chopping off the ticket at the knees.

At this point, several months from November, it’s not too late. It will take everyone to back Biden w as much enthusiasm as they can muster up and get involved in some way. Vote! Help out! GOTV! We’ve got this

I've had a similar thought. Both my spouse and child have foreign passports to a stable, safe, democratic country, so at least I could get them out of dodge. But really, is there anywhere that they could go? (As a fun bonus, there are lots of US military bases in said country as well!)

Drone & missile strikes would *not* be used “responsibly” by a second Trump Administration. And I can’t think of a single nation that doesn’t fear the US military. So, for example, Canada or Latin America would not be safe from a vengeful Trump. This is fun.

The danger in countries like Canada or in Europe is not that they will face military danger from the US it’s just that they will follow the example set by the US and/or be afraid to challenge it.
