Google “Massachusetts crisis pregnancy” and this link pops up. It’s part of a statewide campaign, including public signage (highway billboards!), urging people to avoid crisis pregnancy/anti-abortion centers.
The Commonwealth is not fucking around with this.
Not incidentally, AACs strenuously promote #adoption and are often partnered with adoption agencies. They are focused more on this and less on providing pregnant people with resources to keep their children.
AACs are thoroughly predatory.
Their overall goal is to boost the Domestic Infant Supply for the #adoption industry. Because liberals love adoption, this is the part that is not generally discussed.
I still remember the north Georgia scandal decades ago of that doctor named Hicks in McCaysville who literally coerced those with unwanted pregnancy to give birth so he could sell babies out of the back door of his clinic to wealthier couples. Nothing changes.

I had an interview a couple weeks ago for a job on the Cape. Job pays ~$10k/yr below living wage for that area (and I’m probably not going to get it anyway). I’d still take it in a heartbeat if offered. Would be hell just trying to find a place to rent, but I’d find a way.
It's one of the more heartening things I have seen the government do. Anti-abortion centers are religious orgs masquerading as medical care.
It's fraud- plain and simple- with knock-on effects that destroys lives. The people involved should be held legally accountable.

And as an #adoptee who wants to see modern plenary adoption abolished, I have my own axe to grind about these places, which I see as functioning above all as traps to pressure/deceive/coerce vulnerable people into relinquishment.
I was actually shocked when I first saw those ads because I somehow (naively) believed that The Socialist Commonwealth Of Massachusetts was too blue of a state to have those things! Clearly I was wrong, so thank fuck for that ad campaign to warn people about them!
My spouse works for the Massachusetts DPH (unconnected to this campaign). While the department isn't perfect by any means, "doesn't fuck around" is a fair description of them in many contexts.
This seems to be generally true of many (tho not all) public health experts.
Quoted in the article, DPH Commissioner Robbie Goldstein has only been in the office for a year and a half, but I gather he's earned some solid respect there.
They should really go further with this. Either require full disclosure of these problems prior to appointment, or better yet, make them illegal outright.
