this is more a nitpicking on words but everything a computer does follows an algorithm there is no such thing as "no algorithm" just as there's nothing that contains "no chemicals"
okay it's time for a prompt post: respond to this post with a correction to a common misconception about something you know a lot about. if you feel like it, boost your response. (please use a kindly tone about it, otherwise i, your prompt curator, will get anxious.)

modern dating is like the game hades, consider: -you gotta keep starting over -it's difficult -different characters keep being introduced and some are probably evil but it's not always clear at first -it's in hell -sometimes there is a dog

My favorite streets are not too wide, but also not too narrow: they are exactly a whole number of tree canopies wide. One canopy is sweet and cozy; the houses act like a gorge, trapping coolness in summer, while trees exhale and further cool the air below. Two canopies, for biking arteries :)

love adding a bunch of lofi effects to basic synths so they sound less cheap, because that makes sense

gotta love how contemporary publishing is 30000000 beautiful, deeply felt, finely crafted books with 7.5 readers each whose authors are just barely making a living, and like 4 books that financially support the whole apparatus, each of which has comprehensively and unforgivably destroyed society

Here have some alpenglow volcanoes from further up this fault line
There's Mount Baker from the middle of the lagoon we swam in. It was shallow enough to stand up and enjoy a cold beverage while we took in the spectacular scenery. It's a rare day to be able to see Baker from this far up island, especially in summer 😻 photo by @birb.mom

Really disappointed to hear Jamelle Bouie has deactivated. Bluesky has a real bad track record of running Black intellectuals off of the site. I understand and share anger with the NYT, but one columnist there who doesn’t toe the party line doesn’t deserve to bear the brunt of that anger
