So, basically, the ~30% who want unrestricted guns, and abortion banned in every circumstance, and who think the election was stolen, and who won't get vaccinated, and who want the ten commandments in schools, and who think the president is above the law, well, those ~30% run the country now.
Correctly..
And if the 70% (the rest) don't wanna accept this shots how, they better lift their damn asses and vote..
Up and down the ballot for dems..
Even, if They hate the candidate
If not, they don't care a nanosecond..
Just citizens out touring. “Don’t mind my feet on your desk and all that broken glass Roberts we are just exercising our constitutional right of assembly.”
The polls tend to vacillate between 24% and 34%, depending on the specific question. So I call it 30% on the whole.
I think that's why generally TFG's floor was 30%, and his ceiling was usually 30%.
It's stubborn, and it's too big, but it's also a distinct minority that WILL LOSE if there's turnout.
Republicans know they fucked up. They are already crowing about it on Fox. Sotomayor’s dissent was a call to arms. My guess that the delay in ruling was an attempt to rein her in. @chrislhayes.bsky.social@gtconway.bsky.social
The fact these percentages won't be reflected in the next presidential poll (i.e. Biden at 70%) will show the profound and bizarre disconnect about 20% of the population has between knowing what is good for the country, and voting for it.
Biden should have expanded the court on day one of his presidency. After Mitch rigged the court, expansion was the legitimate response. But Biden plays by the “norms”, while the Republicans discard them. He got played by McConnell because of his racist white male bias. US “democracy” died under him.
