I watched almost every adult I knew and respected growing up in Ohio go completely fucking insane when Barack Obama became the Dem frontrunner to replace George W. Bush in 2008, as well as several people my own age who I once considered friends. This is all it's ever been, and their masks got hot.

Everyone is always afraid to say why people like Trump or Marie Le Pen have some level of popularity and it’s just that there’s a lot of people in the world who believe in racism. You end up with these goofy ass explanations for Trump where it’s NAFTA or shit and it’s like no you know what it is

This is also to my eyes an important factor in all of this. Just completely beyond the pale stuff like "actually Nixon shouldn't be held responsible for Watergate" and "The DOJ isn't independent" need to be addressed and nobody saw those coming.

Imagine being surprised that if you want to hire the President, Publisher, and CEO of DC comics to personally draw you a bespoke original piece of art, it would be prohibitively expensive.

People were hashtaggin’ Jim Lee to the point I thought the dude passed, but it turns out he’s just charging 20k for commissions, which if you’ve been in the game since the early 80’s and was the head of two different publishers in that run, you’re fine charging that.

The same poll everyone is freaking out about for Biden also shows a majority of respondents saying Trump is a liar and should not be running for office. Think about why that isn’t driving media discussion, why they’re focusing on this and not that, whose interests are being served.

Guys. I am not a quant person but even I know that pushing a sub sample of a larger phone poll from early in June with a 0.8% response rate, where no one who ignores unlabeled numbers on their cellphone responded, tells you nothing about the electorate. Stop letting bad polls drive your politics.

This really isn't false, even if it seems like the movie is making these statements in spite of its creator.
