Living on the side of the border I do, I hadn't seen this particular TLA before, so just for a second, I read it "Paid for by Trump National Committee, Jesus Fucking Christ, Inc."

Because of Bluesky, I watched Jaws 2 for the first time tonight. It was kind of shit, but that was no big surprise; what *was* surprising was that somebody decided that a Jaws sequel should be mostly about sailboats and the high-school drama of some anonymous teenagers.

I learned during the pandemic that capitalism does not give a shit about your reasonable concerns to political chaos, hate crimes, and many people dying. The bills still arrive, rent still needs to be paid, work still needs to be done. Be kind to yourself. One thing at a time.

At this point, the only historians are going to be the pirates. I said in another thread, we are going to get to a point when one major studio in a brutally shortsighted decision will pull out of Apple and Amazons storefronts. Entirely. Including for those who already purchased.

It's not a huge thrill to read that someone with direct knowledge of the situation at the Science Centre sort of gets why it has to go, and the decision is still blatantly political, but it's not a bad idea to at least plan for how a new one could be more sustainable in the face of future austerity.
