I had operation, but when the battery died it was not replaced
“You don’t need the buzzer. Just take the pieces out”
I didn’t know I was learning so much about our healthcare system…
Ok, the other song stuck in my head this morning is the old “Operation!” commercial jingle:
Water on the knee!
Operation!
Thousand dollar fee!
Operation!
…and I’m realizing for the first time money was involved and not just removing the pieces and OMG MALPRACTICE & FRAUD WAS A PART OF GAMEPLAY
Not a game, but a puzzle. Well, a collection of puzzles. Each one had six identical pieces. If you collected the set, they could be combined into one giant puzzle. I had one of them as a kid, and only recently realized that eBay exists, and so have been able to collect them.
I never had Lego as a kid. 😭 When I was in college, my friends found out and they all bought me a bunch of Lego sets for my birthday, it was great and I still get them out and play now and then.
I did have Lincoln Logs and an Erector Set though.
Oh, yeah. I get that.
I never understood how my friends were making such cool things with their legos and I just…couldn’t.
I didn’t know about “sets”. Lol
Me neither lol. I was like, I can build a house? That’s about it. I didn’t put together an actual Lego set until maybe 10 years ago. My husband and I did the Millennium Falcon, and it was so fun! Took us 3 days over Christmas Break.
You could design a nursing version for those needing hand PT, e.g., postoperative or post-stroke. Put their pain meds in the top, they need to successfully pull out the obstacles until their pill(s) drop down to a cup below.
