🧵 I think something difficult to talk about when an author/musician/artist is outed as a monster is the damage it can cause the people who found comfort and healing in their works. Because it gets read as trying to put fans on equal footing with direct victims, which would be fucked up (1/?)

Some Millennials in my timeline are insecure because Gen Zs are telling them their ankle socks age them. I can't stress enough that you don't need to care about what a bunch of 20-somethings think about your clothes, mainly bc you don't have to care about what ANYONE thinks about your clothes.

“You don’t accomplish anything by posting” is such a ridiculous & boring take. I have learned so much from so many people on social media just from them posting. I have shared that information with others. We have changed our behaviors based on information to impact communities & ourselves.

Also, this take is usually put forth by a mediocre cis het white man who believes his merits were what brought him his success and not the money & connections he already had.
