NEW: The Texas GOP's proposed platform calls for laws requiring the Bible in schools, an electoral college-style system that'd lock Democrats out of statewide office, says gender-transition care is "child abuse" and wants silver/gold declared as currency and government transparency on UFOs.
Can confirm. Have a Maga manager at work who insists, often, the constitution explicitly forbids Muslims from holding office. Directs me to the 1st amendment.
Won't show me where in the text just says it's so obvious he won't answer questions.
“There's none so blind as they that won't see.”

... who had a nicer way of phrasing, "You're a dumbass."
Nowhere in the text of COTUS is there any religion expressly named.
Oh when he claimed the constitution demanded bipartisan support for an impeachment I challenged him to find that word in the text.
He said the framers were all about political parties. "The wigs the wigs!!!"
"Oh yeah them. So what debate started that party again?"
When he got mad he said "I'll bet you $1000 dollars it's in there. Do you ever have that much money?" Making fun of my low pay.
"No, how about a gentleman's bet. All the money in your pocket."
He had no cash, as a recovering heroin addict his wife wouldn't let him carry cash, which I knew. Heheh
Many of the Founding Fathers were not Christian per se, but identified as Enlightenment (aka Age of Reason) Deists, rather than members of an organized religion.
I've always enjoyed asking certain types of people to show me where in the Constitution it mentions God or Jesus. They never seem to want to answer. So, I ask what it says about religion, and then they deflect.
They're absolutely confident in their wrongness though.
You could stop by your House Representative's local office and pick up X amount of copies of COTUS to hand out to your office coworkers (cough) in celebration of the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.
Id be careful, in a distorted time line. It could be the Enterprise, or if a double mirror dark, The Millennium Falcon.
Ol girl: your kinda short for a Storm Trooper...
Nevermind the Constitution (they clearly don't), the economic impact of lots of non-Christians finally saying "f-it, we're moving to a state that welcomes us" would be remarkable.
Repro care is already a likely recruiting/retention nightmare for TX tech jobs...
Among other things, the counties have changed over the history of the state, and while they haven't changed much lately, if this went through and the Dems ever started getting close to winning, the GOP legislature could just split some deep red counties.
Buried in this pile o' poo is typical comprehension fail on Jefferson's "Danbury Baptists" letter, esp. 'sworn upon the altar of god' line-
Jefferson, no idiot, ironically used 'altar of god' to rail vs. 'tyranny over the mind of man' coming from THE CLERGY i.e. organized religion.
Dipshits.
