Without even clicking the link, I’ll guess the reason — all the talk of racism makes white kids feel guilty. Again, if your kids are reading histories of slavery or segregation and identifying with the racists in the story, that suggests you’ve got your own problems to work through. Leave us out.

Well, if the exit polls are on the money, I'd have preferred a much deeper wipeout of the Tories, denying them even the role of the official Opposition, and it's depressing that there are sufficient concentrations of nimrods around to furnish the Commons with 13 bargain bin gauleiters.

Trump is a criminal and a fascist who has caused immense damage on a global scale and is eager for a lot more. So what kind of person was going to vote Biden but will now vote Trump because of the debate? I thought I understood people but this rise of fascism has me worried and disappointed.

There is no fucking way I am watching the debate tonight. I've known who I am voting for since 2020, and I'm certainly not going to subject myself to 90 minutes (or whatever) of watching a bilious orange turd fulminate incoherent fascism. If something truly memorable happens, I imagine I'll be told.

Part of me thinks I have a civic duty to endure the debate tonight, but the rational part of me knows better. I know where my vote is going and nothing will change that. Do I need to be armed with personal experience of the debates to play amateur pundit on the internet afterwards? Hell no.
