It's fine to regret the need for it, but it's extremely naive to think the Republicans aren't drooling at the thought of a 10-3 court in their favour as soon as they get back into power.

Alito didn't fly their flag upside-down. His wife did, without his knowledge, and not for long.
She's not a jurist, and presumably didn't understand the ramifications for her husband.
And, of course, there's no such thing as an "insurrection flag." Insurrections are mounted with guns, not flags.
What's it going to take to convince people who hit rock bottom hard enough to commit m@ss $hootings to go after the actual problems in this country instead of schools, grocery stores and all else? Not implying anything, just asking questions
