Chepstow Castle, Monmouthshire is the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in Britain. Located above cliffs on the River Wye, construction began in 1067 under the instruction of the Norman Lord William FitzOsbern. It was the southernmost of a chain of castles built in the Welsh Marches.

First COVID wastewater data after Thanksgiving shows a significant increase in infections post-holiday. Per @jpweiland.bsky.social, the number of new infections a day has increased by ~40%, and the number of people currently infected has jumped to 1 in every 39.

Etsy is about 50:50 dropshipping from whatever the latest Chinese online store is and amazing handmade stuff made by real people and it's a tiny bit more work to work out which is which using reverse image search, but I think that's on us as responsible consumers as much as on the platform
