There are two lists to mute/block AI scrapers: bsky.app/profile/did:... bsky.app/profile/did:... I hope it helps

Just a heads up, but I remember seeing that first list being mentioned before. And one artist I follow found herself on it when she's 100% anti AI art. It looks like it's an automatic list, so people who only mention AI/NFT related terms might accidentally get added to it.

The second list is suspicious.

Yeah, I'm not familiar with that one so I can't say for sure, but as I look through it, it does seem that some of the people on it might not be pro AI/NFT/crypto/etc.

I posted a 'shop yesterday that I did last year (maybe even longer), where I'd added Animal from the Muppets to a shot from Whiplash. I spent *way* too long deep etching Animal and then fixing the background in the Whiplash image. It's a dumb meme, but it amused me, and I worked hard on it.

The idea that someone can just come along and "oh I made a 'funny' image with the right prompt"... nah, you didn't. You made an image that was built on the backs of everyone whose work was stolen to build that "AI", & you don't even recognise their work.

It's like Kate Sanborn said: "Genius is a mix of perspiration and inspiration", but people just want to steal other folks work, and get the credit, and make bank. People don't want to put in the perspiration anymore.

Quickly looked it up, it's called Nightshade & can be used on any image.

Nightshade and Glaze are two diff things; Glaze makes art "illegible" for machine learning software while Nightshade poisons it with wrong information (ie, an image of a car gets logged as a giraffe etc). One protects and the other poisons 👍

The fine people at the University of Chicago created software called Glaze that makes images unusable by ML shart generators, they also made something that actually poisons the data sets.

Trivial use desensitizes against less trivial use, which desensitizes against common use, then soon widespread monetization and market exploitation. So the question is, what does anyone do? Pandora's box has been opened, the tools are out there for anyone to use. We can't just *get rid of* AI art.
