I think they really are ready to just go full fash if they win and pull the plug on elections (at least as we know them)
They’ve known since the early aughts they can’t win in a free and fair election. Where they are now was the inevitable end.
I dunno, I still think someone like Romney writing an OpEd piece supporting Biden (similar to what Bernie did from the progressive side) might sway enough of that 35% to not write-in some fantasy candidate and vote for Biden.

Personally I don’t want to see him become a martyr. Dying on the toilet, or falling down the gangplank onto the tarmac in full view of the cameras is the fate he deserves.
It also lends itself to closed sub-communities; i.e., large accounts, frequently inundated with responses to their posts begin to block/limit who can respond, thus creating a comfortable bubble for themselves, but curtailing interesting discourse due to a few loud, twitchy poasters.
When the shooting first happened, they were panning across the crowd - tons of angry t-shirts encouraging violence, people giving double fingers to the media behind them. Hungry for rage and hate, and they were doubly frustrated that Trump wasn’t going to feed them that day
Have you heard anything about the rumor floating around that the shooter’s motivation was driven by the recent documentation showing Trump’s participation in Epstein’s underage sex parties?
