"law must be reformed. Americans vote for a union, but can never get a union contract," he said.
"Companies fire workers who try to join unions and hide behind toothless laws that are meant to protect working people but are manipulated to benefit corporations. This is economic terrorism at its best"
He called out amazon specifically on a few things, he talked shit about the chamber of commerce... at the rnc. I don't know about the guy but it's insanely different than any speech from any republican that night and I'm glad a bunch of maga losers were exposed to it.
"Against gigantic multinational corporations, an individual worker has zero power. It's only when Americans band together in democratic unions that we win real improvements on wages, benefits and working conditions,"
O'Brien said. "Remember, elites have no party. Elites have no nation. Their loyalty is to the balance sheet. And the stock price at the expense of the American worker."
That was said at key note speech at the RNC
He didn't endorse the Republicans at all, he was invited to speak and went. Like it's not great optics because headlines will say that and people will have your reaction but I think it was great to reach all those people. He connected the elites they complain about to corporations it was wonderful
It was actually a widly progressive speech. It was more progressive than the dnc will have lol. He didn't actually endorse trump as the key note speaker while he blasted corporations and donors it was wild to see at the convention it's like they got punked
