I hear you. It’s all been a lot, to put it extremely mildly.

At a minimum, they would brutally arrest protesters and charge journalists and dissenters with crimes against the state. But given his spoken desire to declare martial law, he clearly wanted to foment violence in the streets, hence encouraging proud boys and other J6 vigilantes.

in 2020 there had been escalating force against protesters by police and vigilantes causing many injuries and deaths. this culminated on live tv when police tear-gassed sitting peaceful protesters in dc. they had been priming the public to get ready for people to get shot in the street for a year

Technically because people died, one of the potential punishments for one of the charges is death or life imprisonment.

This indictment really goes beyond what I had thought happened. I do still wonder how much of this is real planning vs speculating/dreaming.
