BLP was an inspiration in getting me to write for the anthology. Mostly because I read his story about a short Elemental with a napoleon complex that was in Shrapnel #1 and thought "This sucks, I could write better than this!"

The sad truth is that there will likely never be justice wielded against the men and state that kidnapped Dr. Abu Salmiya and tortured him for seven months.
