If a Democrat had been the target of an assassination attempt, can anyone plausibly imagine a Trump statement that did not denigrate and equivocate?

if you are outraged about the war in gaza, police brutality, erosion of lgbtq civil rights, and/or the supreme court’s lurch into illiberalism, I think the best way to effect change is to stridently condemn people who agree with you on all those issues

this cannot be (and is not being) emphasized enough. if it were just trump spouting off about banning contraceptives and filling the civil service with fascist ideologues, you could dismiss it as the ravings of an old kook. but the republican party, it turns out, is 100% on board with all that shit

can’t count how many times I’ve been amped up for a new season of a show I like, only to realize I have no idea what’s going on because the previous season ended long enough ago for me to forget everything that happened

I’m getting sick of 8 episodes every two years. And on a completely random schedule. It used to be that you could could on a new show October to May. Now it’s a random weekend or 6 Tuesdays 18-22 months from the last drop.
